Steven Gerrard with the Scottish Premiership trophyFormer England boss Fabio Capello has backed Steven Gerrard to turn around his managerial career after learning from his past mistakes.Gerrard made a flying start to life in the dugout with Rangers, winning the Scottish Premiership in 2021 and building the squad which successor Gio van Bronckhorst took to the final of the Europa League 12 months later. Things have been tougher for him since, though. The former England midfielder took over at Aston Villa in November 2021 but lasted a little under a year with the Premier League side.
